ID Logistics has launched ID Logistics Healthcare, a new subsidiary dedicated to pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics in Spain and Portugal.

The move strengthens the company’s investment in the healthcare sector and expands its specialized logistics capabilities across the Iberian Peninsula.

The new subsidiary operates five healthcare logistics sites covering more than 70,000 square metres. All facilities comply with GDP and GMP standards and serve pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, dermocosmetics and consumer healthcare businesses.

The sites provide storage and distribution under ambient, refrigerated and other temperature-controlled conditions. Customers include hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers, clinics and patients.

ID Logistics Healthcare also offers secondary packaging, serialization, returns management, co-packing and real-time supply chain visibility through integrated warehouse and transport management systems.

The company is investing in a new 71,000-square-metre logistics campus in Tórtola de Henares, Spain. Scheduled to begin operations by the end of 2026, the facility will feature 115,000 pallet positions, 68 loading docks, temperature-controlled areas, high-security zones for sensitive and psychotropic products, and an AutoStore automated picking system. The site will operate on 100% clean energy.

ID Logistics is also building a new 13,300-square-metre warehouse in Gran Canaria. The BREEAM Excellent-certified facility will include temperature-controlled pharmaceutical storage and high-security areas.

The company supports its healthcare operations with a dedicated transport network across the Iberian Peninsula, handling more than 3,500 shipments per day.

Jérôme Jacek, Managing Director of ID Logistics Iberia, said the new subsidiary marks an important step in the company’s healthcare strategy.

“With ID Logistics Healthcare, we are strengthening our ability to support healthcare players with specialized logistics solutions and infrastructure tailored to the pharmaceutical sector.”
