Boluda Towage has expanded its fleet in La Réunion with the deployment of the new tug VB Audace.
The Damen ASD 2811 vessel entered service at the Port of Le Port in mid-September. Damen Song Cam built the tug in 2026.
VB Audace has an engine output of 5,102 hp and a bollard pull of 60 tonnes. These specifications allow the vessel to perform a range of harbour towage operations.
The tug completed its first assignments shortly after arriving on the island.
“VB Audace will strengthen and complete the fleet in service for the port,” said Christophe C. P. Picard, Managing Director of Boluda La Réunion.
Boluda Towage said the deployment will increase its capacity to support growing maritime traffic and port operations in La Réunion.
