Nippon Express and Nikon signed a new agreement to use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in air cargo for the second consecutive year.
The deal supports Nikon’s efforts to reduce Scope 3 CO₂ emissions. It uses the NX Group’s “NX-GREEN SAF Program” to lower the environmental impact of air shipments.
Nippon Express was again selected as a cargo agent for a Tokyo government SAF initiative. The company promotes SAF adoption in air logistics. Nikon continues its participation as a shipper, extending its commitment from 2024.
The agreement covers shipments from May to December 2025. Nippon Express issues CO₂ reduction certificates based on SAF usage in Nikon’s cargo transport.
Nikon aims to balance business growth with environmental responsibility. The company works to cut emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3.
Nippon Express supports these goals as a long-term logistics partner. It aligns operations with Nikon’s needs and improves sustainable transport solutions.
The NX Group targets a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, and 25% in Scope 3. It also aims for carbon neutrality by 2050.
Both companies will continue working together to expand low-emission logistics solutions.
