Port of Portland appoints new Chief Shared Prosperity and Legal Officer

The Port of Portland has named Krishna Walker as its new Chief Shared Prosperity and Legal Officer, a newly expanded role that brings together Human Resources, Legal and Records Management, Culture and Strategy, and Contracts and Procurement under a single leadership position.

Walker will join the organisation on May 4, 2026.

Most recently, Walker served as Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer at CareVet, where she led the legal process for over 200 business acquisitions and supported a tenfold increase in company growth over six years.

Her background also includes senior leadership at Rabobank North America and more than a decade as outside general counsel for growing companies including large nonprofit organisations.

The newly configured role is designed to drive strategy at the intersection of law, people, culture and public stewardship.

The addition of Culture and Strategy to its remit reflects the port’s intention to ensure that internal operations and organisational culture are more directly aligned with its mission and values.

Curtis Robinhold, Port of Portland Executive Director, highlighted Walker’s ability to build genuine connections and maintain cohesion between her team’s work and an organisation’s broader mission as the defining qualities that distinguished her in the selection process.

Walker holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School, a Master of Arts from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University.
