MSC restructures three intra-Australasia services

MSC Nela at Port of Long Beach

MSC is restructuring its intra-Australasia network by separating the existing Noumea Express into two services and revising its Southern Loop, according to Alphaliner.

The current Noumea Express connects Australia, New Caledonia, Fiji and New Zealand through the following rotation:

Sydney – Brisbane – Noumea – Lautoka – Suva – Tauranga – Sydney

MSC will replace this service with the new Noumea-Fiji and Northern Loop services.

New Noumea-Fiji service

The service will connect Australia with New Caledonia and Fiji through the following rotation:

Brisbane – Noumea – Lautoka – Suva – Brisbane

New Northern Loop

The Northern Loop will provide connections between eastern Australia and New Zealand:

Sydney – Auckland – Napier – Tauranga – Sydney

Amended Southern Loop

MSC will remove Napier from the existing Southern Loop. Its revised rotation will be:

Melbourne – Bluff – Port Chalmers – Lyttelton – Wellington – Nelson – Wellington – Bell Bay – Melbourne
