MSC imposes rate increases from Italy to America

The global ocean carrier Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has released new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rate increases that will be applied in containers transferred from Italian ports to American destinations.

Particularly, the Swiss/Italian shipping line will implement a FAK rate increase in shipments from the ports of La Spezia and Genoa, that will be destined to the US ports of New York, and Long Beach, Veracruz, and Ensenada in Mexico, Caucedo in the Dominican Republic, as well as the Canadian ports of Vancouver and Montreal.

This FAK rate increase will be introduced in all 20', 40' dry van (DV) and high cube (HB) boxes, and will be effective from 3 March and not beyond 31 March.
