MSC announces Peak Season Surcharges on multiple trade lanes

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has announced Peak Season Surcharges on two separate trade corridors, both effective July 1, 2026 until further notice.

A Peak Season Surcharge will apply to all cargo, including dry and reefer, moving from West Mediterranean and Adriatic ports to the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The surcharge is set at US$ 250 per 20-foot container and US$ 400 per 40-foot container.

A Peak Season Surcharge of US$ 200 per TEU will apply to all cargo and commodities, including reefer and special equipment, on shipments originating from Northwest Europe, Scandinavia and the Baltic, West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean, Adriatic, Greece and Turkey to Australia and New Zealand.

The surcharge is based on bill of lading date from July 1, 2026.
