Maersk announced revised import storage tariffs at Rijeka and Koper

Setting sail for sustainability: Maersk Trieste can now take advantage of double-digit percentage reductions in fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions, while unlocking significant regulatory gains.

Maersk announced new import storage tariffs, invoiced as demurrage, for special equipment will take effect from the price calculation date of June 15, 2026, covering inbound cargo at the Port of Rijeka in Croatia and the Port of Koper in Slovenia.

Port of Rijeka – Out-of-Gauge Equipment

For non-dangerous goods, storage is charged at EUR 20 per 20-foot and EUR 40 per 40 or 45-foot unit for days 1 to 6, rising to EUR 60 and EUR 100 for days 7 to 14, EUR 80 and EUR 160 for days 15 to 21, and EUR 120 and EUR 240 from day 22 onward.

For dangerous goods, rates are doubled across all bands, starting at EUR 40 and EUR 80 for days 1 to 6 and reaching EUR 240 and EUR 480 from day 22 onward. The tariff covers tanks, open top, flat rack and pallet wide containers.

Port of Koper – In-Gauge and Out-of-Gauge Equipment

The Koper tariff applies to both in-gauge and out-of-gauge special equipment.

Rates for non-dangerous goods mirror the Rijeka structure, at EUR 20 and EUR 40 for days 1 to 6, EUR 60 and EUR 100 for days 7 to 14, EUR 80 and EUR 160 for days 15 to 21, and EUR 120 and EUR 240 from day 22 onward.

Dangerous goods rates are again doubled across all tiers, commencing at EUR 40 and EUR 80 and reaching EUR 240 and EUR 480 from day 22 onward.
