KEZAD Group has announced the development of a new SME Hub in Abu Dhabi. The project represents an investment of AED 112 million and aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises as they establish and expand their operations in the emirate.
Located in KEZAD A (Al Ma’mourah), the facility will cover 25,260 square metres. KEZAD expects to hand over the project before the end of 2026. The hub will help businesses move from startup stage to larger industrial and logistics operations.
The development offers direct access to Khalifa Port and the Etihad Rail network. Businesses will also be able to reach more than 75% of the UAE’s urban areas within a 90-minute drive.
The SME Hub will include 175 Micro Industrial Units starting from 100 square metres. It will also feature office space, a dedicated business centre and access to KEZAD’s support services. The integrated setup will help companies reduce costs, improve efficiency and benefit from shared services and supplier networks.
SMEs play a key role in the UAE economy. They account for 94% of all businesses and contribute 64% of the country’s non-oil GDP. In Abu Dhabi, SMEs represent around 98% of businesses and contribute approximately 43% of non-oil GDP.
Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities & Free Zones at AD Ports Group, said the hub will provide SMEs with the resources and support needed to grow in a competitive market.
Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO of KEZAD Group, said the project will strengthen Abu Dhabi’s SME ecosystem and help businesses scale more efficiently within an integrated industrial environment.
KEZAD also signed a memorandum of understanding with Emirates Growth Fund. The partnership will combine industrial infrastructure with growth capital and strategic support to help UAE-based SMEs expand into regional and global markets.
