Kalmar has secured an order for two electric reachstackers from C. Steinweg – Handelsveem B.V. in Rotterdam.
The order was booked in Kalmar’s second-quarter 2026 intake, with delivery scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
The electric reachstackers will support cargo-handling operations at Steinweg’s multipurpose and breakbulk terminals.
The agreement also includes a Kalmar Care service contract with on-demand support to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
In addition, Steinweg will receive a MyKalmar INSIGHT subscription with the Driver Access premium module, as well as Kalmar Genuine Parts support.
Steinweg currently operates a fleet of Kalmar equipment, including reachstackers and forklift trucks.
Dominic Gruszczynski, Manager Mobile Assets at Steinweg, said the company selected Kalmar because of its product reliability, safety standards and service quality.
He noted that the partnership spans more than four decades and supports Steinweg’s transition toward electric equipment.
Gruszczynski added that the performance of Kalmar’s electric reachstackers has demonstrated their ability to meet demanding operational requirements while supporting the company’s sustainability goals.
He also said Steinweg is exploring the electrification of its heavy forklift fleet.
Maurice Butin Bik, Sales Manager Benelux at Kalmar, said the partnership with Steinweg dates back to the 1980s when Kalmar supplied heavy diesel forklifts for stevedoring operations.
He added that the latest order marks another step in Steinweg’s transition to electric equipment and reinforces the long-term cooperation between the two companies.
