Hapag-Lloyd upgrades Oceania-North America service

Hapag-Lloyd announced an update on North America Westcoast – New Zealand – Australia (WSN) service.

The German ocean carrier said the bi-weekly service rotation will be enhanced beginning in late April by balancing the round voyage rotation of both WSN loops.

The service will have alternating calls at the ports of Vancouver and Seattle on a bi-weekly basis as the first port call of the North American West Coast, according to Hapag-Lloyd, which will deploy ten container vessels on the WSN service.

Loop 1:

Seattle, US –> Oakland, US –> Long Beach, US –> Auckland, New Zealand –> Sydney, Australia –> Melbourne, Australia –> Tauranga, New Zealand –> Papeete, French Polynesia –> Vancouver, Canada

Loop 2:

Vancouver, Canada –> Oakland, US –> Long Beach, US –> Auckland, New Zealand –>  Sydney, Australia –> Melbourne, Australia –> Adelaide, Australia –> Tauranga, New Zealand –> Seattle, US

The first vessel that will be used on the updated rotation is the 4,616 TEU container ship Cap Jervis, which is estimated to depart the port of Seattle on 27 April.
