GXO Logistics has renewed its long-standing partnership with Carrefour to manage frozen supply chain operations in Belgium and Luxembourg.

The agreement extends one of GXO’s longest customer relationships in Belgium, which has lasted for almost 50 years.

GXO will continue operating from its 43,720-square-metre frozen logistics facility in Zellik. The site includes 23,000 square metres of mezzanine space.

From the facility, GXO provides end-to-end logistics services, including storage, order picking and distribution. The company also operates a fleet of 40 trucks that supplies more than 700 Carrefour stores across Belgium and Luxembourg.

The operation uses automated high-bay pallet storage and a shuttle system to improve replenishment speed and maintain high service levels.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with Carrefour, one of our longest-standing customers in Belgium,” said Willem Veekens, Managing Director for GXO in Northern Europe.

He said the long relationship enables both companies to improve operational performance and deliver high-quality service across the region.

Tanguy t’Serstevens, Supply Chain Director at Carrefour Belgium, said the partnership is built on trust, operational excellence and a strong understanding of Carrefour’s logistics requirements.

He added that GXO’s central location, transport fleet and logistics expertise make it a reliable partner for the retailer.

Both companies said they will continue working together to drive innovation, sustainability and operational excellence across the frozen food supply chain.
