CMA CGM SYMI LNG Container Ship

CMA CGM has announced new Rate Restoration Initiatives (RRI) of US$300 per TEU on container shipments between Oceania and the Americas, effective 2 November 2026.

The rate adjustments cover cargo moving in both directions, including shipments from Oceania to North and Latin America and shipments from the eastern coasts of the United States and Canada, as well as the US Gulf, to Oceania.

According to the French shipping company, the adjustments will apply to tariff and service contract rates within the scope of the respective announcements.

Rate increases on both trade directions

For shipments originating in Oceania, CMA CGM will implement an RRI of US$300 per TEU on cargo destined for the US East Coast, Canada East Coast, US Gulf and Latin America.

The same increase will apply to shipments moving in the opposite direction, from the US East Coast, US Gulf and Canada East Coast to Oceania.

Both initiatives will take effect on 2 November 2026.

The adjustments cover dry containers, refrigerated cargo, out-of-gauge (OOG) shipments and paying empty containers.

The carrier has not specified individual ports or an expiry date for either initiative.

The announced measures will affect applicable freight rates on the designated routes, with the same US$300 per TEU adjustment applying in both directions.
