CEVA Logistics restructures global operations under new leadership model

CEVA Logistics is restructuring its global operating model as the company seeks to simplify decision-making, strengthen regional accountability and bring operational leadership closer to customers.

The changes form part of the logistics provider’s next phase of growth under CEO Patrick Moebel, who took over the role on 1 July.

Under the new structure, CEVA will organise its activities around two core global business units: Freight Management and Contract Logistics.

Henri Le Gouis has been appointed to lead Freight Management, while Chris Walton will head Contract Logistics.

CEVA strengthens regional leadership

Alongside the two global business units, CEVA has established a regional leadership structure designed to give local teams greater decision-making authority.

Scott Temple will oversee the Americas, while Paul Bernard will lead North-Central Europe. Eric Dessupoiu will be responsible for South Europe, including France.

Olivier Boccara will lead Asia Pacific, while Paras Rawal will oversee India, the Middle East and Africa.

CEVA said the simplified structure is intended to improve execution and responsiveness while strengthening accountability across its regions and business lines.

“CEVA has extraordinary people, strong capabilities and an unmatched global network. What I have heard consistently is that we can move faster, simplify decision-making and further strengthen accountability,” said Patrick Moebel, CEO, CEVA Logistics.

“Our focus is straightforward: empower our people, execute for our customers and deliver sustainable performance.”

Focus turns to integrating acquisitions

The restructuring follows a period of significant expansion for CEVA since it joined the CMA CGM Group in 2019.

During that period, the company has integrated major logistics businesses, including GEFCO, Bolloré Logistics and Ingram Micro’s former Commerce & Lifecycle Services operations.

More recently, CMA CGM completed its acquisition of FedEx Supply Chain, further expanding CEVA’s contract logistics operations, particularly in North America.

CEVA said its next phase will focus on completing the integration of acquired businesses, with particular emphasis on FedEx Supply Chain.

The company has also made a series of smaller domestic acquisitions and established joint ventures to strengthen its position in selected markets and logistics sectors.

“Customers today expect logistics partners that are agile, connected and empowered to solve challenges quickly,” said Moebel. “Our objective is to build an organization that consistently delivers those outcomes, while creating opportunities for our employees and generating long-term value for our customers, partners and shareholder.”
