ZIM will suspend its ZIM Gulf Toucan (ZGT) service connecting the US Gulf with the East Coast of South America, as reported by DynaLiners.
The final southbound voyage will be operated by Loncomilla 036/S, departing Houston on 24 October 2026 and completing its final East Coast South America call on 19 November.
The last northbound voyage will be operated by Navios Amarillo 067/N, departing Rio de Janeiro on 4 November and reaching the Caribbean on 19 November.
The ZGT service operated with the following rotation:
Houston – Miami – Kingston – Cartagena – Santos – Montevideo – Buenos Aires – Navegantes – Itapoa – Paranagua – Santos – Rio de Janeiro – Cartagena – Kingston – Veracruz – Altamira – Houston
Following the suspension, cargo moving between Houston and the Mediterranean, West Coast South America and the Caribbean will be handled through a dedicated ZIM-operated feeder via Kingston and Cartagena.
Inbound cargo to Miami will continue to be served through the ZIM Colibri Express (ZCX), while shipments from Miami to the Caribbean will be covered by the ZIM South Lotus (ZSL).
