ZIM enhances Latin American service network

The Israeli carrier ZIM Integrated Shipping Services will enhance its Latin America regional network with the introduction of a new Venezuela feeder (VEX) service and the upgrade of two existing services, Central America Express (LAF) and West Coast Central America (WCA).

The three Latin American services will have the following port rotations:

  • VEX: Manzanilo (Mexico) – Cartagena (Colombia) – La Guaira (Venezuela) – Kingston (Jamaica) – Manzanilo (Mexico)

VEX service

  • LAF: Cartagena (Colombia) – Manzanilo (Mexico) – Moin (Costa Rica) – Puerto Cortes (Honduras) – Santo Tomas (Guatemala) – Cartagena (Colombia)

LAF service

  • WCA: Lazaro Cardenas (Mexico) – Manzanilo (Mexico) – Puerto Quetzal (Guatemala) – Acajutla (El Salvador) – Corinto (Nicaragua) – San Lorenzo (Nicaragua) – Puerto Quetzal (Guatemala) – Lazaro Cardenas (Mexico)

WCA service

ZIM said that its updated network is expected to offer its customers a range of advantages including improved coverage, new logistic solutions, as well as synchronised connection to the company’s global network.

Eran Epstein, ZIM’s vice president of the Latin America business unit, stated, “We continue to expand our services and offer our customers more options for global trade and better connection between trade areas.”

Epstein added, “As part of our vision, we aim to be agile in responding to market needs as they arise, providing solutions for our customers in the region and around the world.”
