Maersk and CMA CGM will end their cooperation on the ASAS2 service connecting Asia with the East Coast of South America.
The final voyage under the current arrangement will depart Shanghai on 8 December 2026. It will operate as voyage 650W.
Following this sailing, the ASAS2 service will be discontinued.
However, Maersk will maintain its presence in the trade through its ASAS service. The carrier said the service will continue operating normally as a fully Maersk-operated and controlled product.
Customers will still be able to book shipments between Asia and the East Coast of South America through the ASAS network without interruption.
According to Maersk, retaining full operational control will allow the company to manage and develop the service independently in response to customer requirements and market conditions.
