WDS expands its facility near the port of NY/ NJ

World Distribution Services (WDS) has upgraded its new distribution facility Linden, located in New Jersey, US to provide the necessary additional storage capacity in the New York / New Jersey port community.

This way there will be more racked positions and 18,580 square meters for bulk storage, according to a statement.

The Linden facility began to receive loads shortly after the signing of the contract for the operation of the space, an act that was related to the record demand due to the problems of the global supply chain.

The addition of space through the improvement of the racking system was deemed necessary, as it has been operating at full capacity.

Dale Young, WDS vice president of warehousing and distribution, said, “this is, in effect, our ‘grand opening’ though we have been busy servicing customers and adding space for the last six to ten months.”

The warehouse also offers:

  • A fully staffed and operational facility
  • E-commerce capability
  • Traditional transload
  • Seven-day a week operation

“We believe in the future of warehousing and distribution at major port hubs across the US,” noted WDS president, Duncan Wright.

The new warehouse has a 12.19-meter clear height, 90 dock doors and ample parking for trailers.
