Universal Africa Lines (UAL) and Vertom have announced plans to form a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening their position across the maritime logistics sector.
Under the agreement, both companies will continue operating under their existing brands and retain their individual identities, as reported by DynaLiners.
UAL specializes in multipurpose liner services, focusing on breakbulk, project cargo and oil and gas logistics, while also providing container services between Europe, Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean.
Vertom operates across short-sea shipping, dry cargo, chartering, port agency, freight forwarding, tanker chartering, liner services and maritime logistics. The company supports its operations with a fleet of more than 80 vessels.
The strategic combination is expected to leverage the complementary strengths of both companies while allowing each to maintain its independent market presence.
