A strike is disrupting empty container yard operations connected to Mundra Port in India, according to Hapag-Lloyd.

Until further notice, the affected empty container yards have suspended:

  • Empty container allotments for factory stuffing
  • Empty container gate-ins

CFS operations remain unaffected

Container Freight Station operations at Mundra Port continue normally. Customers can therefore continue using:

  • CFS stuffing operations
  • CFS gate-ins

Hapag-Lloyd advised customers planning export shipments through Mundra Port to review their arrangements. Exporters should consider the current restrictions on empty container availability and movements.

The carrier said it is monitoring the situation and remains in contact with the relevant stakeholders. It will provide another update when normal operations resume or further information becomes available.
