Songa Iridium grounding Bosporus – Update

Yang Ming provided an update regarding IBX Vessel Songa Iridium grounding Bosporus on December 27, 2019.

According to YM, its charterer in vessel MV. Songa Iridium is still being detained by Coastal Safety of Turkey. The concerned parties (i.e. Salvors & the owner of MV. Songa Iridium) will continue to hold meetings to discuss the contribution of salvage security.

However, the vessel is considered to be seaworthy and cargo/container onboard is in sound condition.
