sennder appoints new Chief Commercial Officer

The European digital road freight forwarder sennder announced the appointment of Katherine Boesen as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

Boesen’s addition marks a significant milestone in sennder’s growth trajectory as it aims to bolster customer relationships with major shippers across Europe and reinforce the value proposition of its platform and services, according to the company’s statement.

Based in Berlin, Katherine Boesen brings extensive international logistics expertise, having held senior management roles at DB Schenker, Swissport, and Damco across Europe and Asia.

Before joining sennder, she spearheaded commercial activities for Land Transport Europe at DB Schenker. With over two decades of industry experience, Boesen is recognized for driving commercial success in groundbreaking businesses and championing sustainability innovation—qualities that align closely with sennder’s strategic objectives.

As the new Chief Commercial Officer, Boesen will spearhead sennder’s business expansion efforts, enhance internal capabilities, and cultivate a customer-centric culture and innovation throughout the organization.

Her responsibilities will encompass overseeing the company’s operations across various countries and regions and leading the Regional, Central Commercial, Strategy, Planning, and Pricing divisions.

In her newly established role, Boesen will strategically deepen sennder’s customer relationships, particularly focusing on comprehensive control tower solutions, and further amplify the impact of environmentally friendly offerings on the business.

“I am excited to join the team and bring the power of sennder’s digital platform to the forefront, unlocking unparalleled value for our shippers. Our technology is a game-changer in enhancing transparency, operational performance, and access to capacity, setting a new standard in the road freight sector,” commented Katherine Boesen, chief commercial officer of sennder.
