Rhenus has opened a permanent humanitarian logistics office within Dubai Humanitarian, expanding its ability to coordinate emergency relief shipments across international markets.

The new office, inaugurated on 14 October 2026, brings Rhenus closer to United Nations agencies, non-governmental organisations and other humanitarian partners operating from the Dubai hub.

The opening follows the launch of Rhenus’ humanitarian logistics services in the United Arab Emirates earlier this year. During 2026, the company also developed regional transport solutions, expanded its network of humanitarian partners and secured a licence to operate within the Dubai Humanitarian Free Zone.

Supporting international relief operations

From its new office, Rhenus will coordinate air, ocean and road freight shipments carrying essential supplies to areas affected by emergencies.

These shipments include medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, food aid, shelter materials and emergency response supplies. The company will use its global transport network to help humanitarian organisations plan routes, secure freight capacity and manage deliveries under time-sensitive conditions.

The location also allows Rhenus to work more closely with humanitarian agencies and logistics partners based within Dubai Humanitarian.

“Being part of this community allows us to work more closely with our partners and better support their logistics requirements when and where they are needed,” said Hassan Alzeer, Managing Director of Rhenus Middle East.

The new office brings together the company’s specialist Aid & Relief team and its wider international freight network. It also strengthens Rhenus’ presence in Dubai as the company continues developing its humanitarian logistics activities.
