PSA Intermodal Italy and Logtainer have signed an agreement to manage the intermodal terminal at Interporto Padova through a new company, PSA Padova.
The agreement follows the concession award secured in December 2025. PSA Padova will oversee the management and future development of the terminal.
PSA Intermodal Italy will hold a majority stake and assume operational responsibility for the new company. Interporto Padova will remain a shareholder to support the terminal’s long-term strategic development.
The partners aim to strengthen Padua’s role as a key logistics hub on major European freight and intermodal corridors. The project supports PSA Group’s Node to Network (N2N) strategy by improving connectivity between inland terminals, seaports and international transport networks.
The terminal will operate as an open, multi-user facility. It will combine PSA’s global port and logistics network with Logtainer’s expertise in multimodal transport in Italy.
The partners said the terminal’s existing infrastructure and links to the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T)will help improve freight efficiency, strengthen supply chains across northeastern Italy and support lower-emission inland transport.
