OOCL has announced the launch of its new China Australia Express Loop (A3X) service, with the maiden voyage scheduled to depart from Qingdao on 27 July 2026.
The new A3X service expands OOCL’s existing A3 network and aims to provide customers with greater flexibility, additional transit options and improved market access between Northeast Asia and Australia’s east coast.

With the introduction of A3X, OOCL will offer four weekly sailings across its A3 network, increasing service frequency and capacity for both importers and exporters while strengthening its presence in the Northeast Asia–East Coast Australia trade.
The southbound rotation will call at Qingdao, Shanghai, Shekou, Melbourne and Sydney, while the northbound route will connect Melbourne, Sydney, Qingdao, Shanghai and Shekou.

OOCL said the new service will enhance connectivity between China and Australia and provide customers with more reliable shipping options across the trade lane.
