
Dubai-based Marsa Ocean Shipping will launch a new service connecting India with Oman and the United Arab Emirates, according to Alphaliner.
The new India Gulf Express (IGX) will become Marsa Ocean’s second India-Gulf service. As part of the network adjustment, Sohar will be removed from the carrier’s existing MGR service.
Marsa Ocean’s revised India-Gulf network
The IGX service will deploy one vessel of approximately 1,100 TEUs on a 21-day rotation:
Mundra – Nhava Sheva – Sohar – Fujairah – Mundra.
Meanwhile, the MGR service will operate fortnightly with two vessels of approximately 1,200 TEUs each:
Kochi – Nhava Sheva – Fujairah – Salalah – Fujairah – Kochi.
The new Marsa Ocean India-Gulf service will provide dedicated connections from Mundra and Nhava Sheva to Sohar and Fujairah.
