Marlink and TXOne Networks partner on maritime cybersecurity

Marlink has entered into a strategic partnership with TXOne Networks to strengthen cybersecurity across vessels, offshore assets and other operational technology (OT) environments.

The partnership combines Marlink’s managed cybersecurity, connectivity, network and cloud services with TXOne Networks’ OT security technology.

The companies aim to help maritime operators improve visibility and protection across increasingly connected IT and OT systems.

Partnership targets connected vessel systems

As vessels become more connected, onboard operational systems increasingly interact with remote access services, cloud platforms and shore-based applications.

This creates additional cybersecurity challenges for systems that support critical vessel operations.

Through the partnership, Marlink and TXOne Networks will provide security across both IT and OT environments. The companies will focus on protecting operational continuity while helping operators respond to changing cybersecurity requirements.

“Digital transformation is creating significant opportunities across maritime and industrial operations, but it also expands the potential cyber-attack surface,” said Nicolas Furgé, President Cyber, Marlink.

The collaboration also supports maritime operators addressing cyber resilience requirements such as IACS UR E26.

TXOne technology joins Marlink platforms

As part of the partnership, Marlink will add TXOne Networks’ specialised OT security capabilities to its Possibility Portfolio and XChange NextGen edge platform.

The integration will extend cybersecurity protection across vessels, fleets, offshore assets and remote operations.

Marlink had already expanded its OT security offering in August, including protection for systems involved in vessel navigation, propulsion and cargo handling.

“Protecting operational technology remains fundamental to safe and efficient operations, but customers increasingly require visibility and protection across their entire digital ecosystem,” said Nasser Zayour, Vice President Global Alliances and Channels, TXOne Networks.

The partnership will also cover shore-based industrial operations. However, its maritime offering will focus on protecting connected vessel and fleet infrastructure as IT and OT systems continue to converge.
