Maersk has revised its Equipment Positioning Service – Import (Inland) charge for shipments to Zambia.

The change applies to cargo originating worldwide and moving to Zambia.

The revised tariff took effect on 16 August 2026 for both regulated and non-regulated countries.

Charge reduced to zero

Under the revision, Maersk has reduced the Equipment Positioning Service charge for 40-foot dry containers from US$940 to zero.

The change applies to two delivery types:

Container Delivery type Old rate New rate
40DRY Store Door US$940 US$0
40DRY Container Yard US$940 US$0

Therefore, the previous US$940 charge will no longer apply to the listed 40-foot dry container movements.

Maersk said the revision forms part of its efforts to maintain its service portfolio and reliability.
