Maersk will increase its Import and Export Fuel Surcharge for US inland haulage from 1 November 2026.
The Maersk US inland fuel surcharge will rise from US$140 to US$215 per container.

Scope of the Maersk US inland fuel surcharge
The revised surcharge will apply to shipments carried under a Maersk ocean bill of lading when the carrier arranges trucking to or from the customer’s door within the United States.
It will apply to shipments with a Price Calculation Date on or after 1 November 2026. The charge will appear separately on the bill of lading under the IFS or EFS code.
Maersk attributed the adjustment to rising US diesel prices. The carrier said the 13-week average diesel price increased by more than US$0.10 per gallon, adding pressure to linehaul, drayage, depot and first-mile transportation costs.
