Lufthansa Cargo has launched GlobeCross GmbH, a new subsidiary focused on cross-border logistics and customs services for eCommerce shipments.
The company was created through the merger of heyworld GmbH and CB Customs Broker GmbH, officially completed on 6 May 2026.
GlobeCross combines digital eCommerce logistics solutions with customs expertise to support faster and more predictable international shipping operations.
According to Lufthansa Cargo, the new company will provide integrated cross-border services covering transportation, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery.
Ashwin Bhat said the launch expands Lufthansa Cargo’s capabilities beyond traditional airport-to-airport transport by combining customs expertise with digital logistics solutions.
The company said GlobeCross will focus on three main areas:
- End-to-end eCommerce logistics
- eCommerce import terminals at major air cargo hubs
- Digital customs clearance services
GlobeCross will operate with an asset-light model focused on software, digital workflows, and customs expertise rather than physical infrastructure.
The company will continue operating independently while leveraging the wider logistics ecosystem of the Lufthansa Group.
