GEODIS has expanded its partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail by taking over logistics operations at London Heathrow Airport and Auckland Airport.
The agreement extends GEODIS’ airport logistics services beyond its existing operations in Paris. The company will manage warehousing, order preparation and deliveries for retail and duty-free stores at both airports.
At Heathrow Airport, GEODIS will support the launch of Lagardère Travel Retail’s Travel Essentials business. The company will supply four RELAY stores located in the customs-controlled area. An on-site warehouse will enable fast replenishment and continuous product availability.
At Auckland Airport, GEODIS will provide daily stock transfers to five duty-free stores six days a week. The operation will manage more than 13,000 SKUs, including alcohol, tobacco, fashion, food, perfumes and cosmetics.
GEODIS said the operation will use a warehouse management system integrated with SAP to provide real-time inventory visibility while ensuring compliance with customs, excise, VAT exemption and airport security requirements.
The expansion strengthens GEODIS’ presence in airport logistics and supports Lagardère Travel Retail’s international retail network.
