Konecranes has secured an order for four electric forklifts from Swedish forestry group Södra to support electrification efforts at two production sites in Sweden.
The order includes four 15-1200C electric forklifts for operations at Södra Cell Värö and Södra Cell Mörrum.
Konecranes booked the order in the first quarter of 2026. Three units will be delivered in the second quarter, while the final machine will arrive in the third quarter.
Södra said electrification and energy efficiency remain key priorities in reducing Scope 1 emissions across its operations.
Three forklifts will handle paper bales, while the fourth unit will support timber operations.
Since 2014, Konecranes has delivered more than 40 lift trucks to Södra. With this latest order, the company will increase its deployed electric forklift fleet at Södra to 13 units.
“Konecranes electric forklifts meet Södra’s high standards in both operational performance and eco-efficiency,” said Christer Dahlberg, Vehicle Maintenance Engineer at Södra.
The electric forklifts will be supplied through long-term distributor N.C. Nielsen, which will also provide maintenance support.
The new equipment includes TRUCONNECT remote monitoring technology to support predictive maintenance and maximize uptime.
Konecranes said the agreement supports its Ecolifting roadmap, which focuses on reducing emissions through electrified and alternative-fuel material handling solutions.
