OneStop, a supply chain optimisation solution provider, and Intermodal Group (IMG) have expanded their partnership to include the latter's new facility, the Kenwick Intermodal Terminal (IMT) in Western Australia.
This collaboration will introduce OneStop’s cutting-edge solutions, OneStop Modal and Vehicle Booking System (VBS) at the new intermodal facility, aiming to enhance operational efficiency, container movements, and traffic flow management.
Chris Harnett, Chief Commercial Officer at OneStop, says, “The extension of our partnership with IMG and the deployment of our VBS at the Kenwick Intermodal Terminal represents a significant milestone for OneStop. Our OneStop Modal solution will not only streamline operations but also provide crucial visibility into intermodal container movements, ensuring enhanced efficiency and service reliability.”
The IMG initiative is expected to significantly boost the region’s capacity by providing an additional 2,000 TEU for empty container storage.
This expansion will deliver numerous benefits to the industry, including enhanced service opportunities, cost reduction for transport operators and streamlining container movements.
Rail operations between Kenwick IMT and North Quay Rail Terminal commenced this week with a dedicated rail service with a 100 TEU capacity per service, operated by Watco Australia, streamlining container movements across the region, enhancing overall supply chain efficiency.
Adam Lebihan, VP Intermodal at Intermodal Group (IMG), commented, “The launch of the Kenwick Intermodal Terminal is a significant step forward in our mission to enhance Western Australia’s logistics infrastructure. Partnering with OneStop to implement their advanced OneStop Modal and VBS solutions, underscores our commitment to adopting innovative technologies that improve operational efficiency and service delivery. This collaboration will not only boost our capacity but also provide substantial benefits to our customers, enabling smoother, more cost-effective container movements across the region.”
