DHL Group has appointed Joe Joseph as Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 June 2027, succeeding Melanie Kreis, whose contract expires on 31 May 2027.
Joseph currently serves as CFO of DHL Express. He has been with the company for more than 28 years and has held senior finance positions across the Middle East, Asia and Europe before becoming CFO of DHL Express in 2014.
Dr. Katrin Suder, Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Post AG, said Joseph’s experience and track record at DHL Express will help ensure continuity and support the company’s financial strategy.
Kreis will complete her current term but will not seek an extension. She has served on DHL Group’s Board of Management for 12 years and played a key role in strengthening the company’s financial performance and shareholder returns.
Tobias Meyer, CEO of DHL Group, credited Kreis with helping build the Group’s resilience and delivering stable or increasing dividends for ten consecutive years. He added that Joseph will continue and further develop DHL’s financial strategy.
Kreis said the transition timing will allow for an orderly succession process and expressed confidence that the finance function will remain in strong hands under Joseph’s leadership.
