Interasia Catalyst on fire

A Singapore owned vessel, the Interasia Catalyst, has reported a container fire that started on 4 April in a number of containers on deck, with the captain sending a distress call at around 01:00, local time, shortly after the ship had left Port Klang, Malaysia.

The 2009-built vessel, which has a capacity of 4,200TEU, was en route to Cochin, India, when the fire was reported. Local reports said the captain sent a request to return to Port Klang.

The Interasia catalyst is thought to be on charter to Wan Hai Lines. Source: https://www.vesselfinder.com/
