Howrah-Amta railway traffic disrupted

The railway traffic on Howrah-Amta section was yesterday disrupted after a fuel laden tanker and a container-drawn-truck involved in head-on-collision on Kona Expressway resulting instant death of the two drivers and blocked the busy highway affecting vehicular traffic between Kolkata and districts.

The accident happened at around 03: 30 near Gorpa on Kona Expressway in which both the vehicles got burnt killing the drivers on the spot and damaging the overhead wiring of the Howrah-Amta section of Indian Railway.
