Hiab has started a major expansion of its MULTILIFT demountables facility in Raisio, Finland.
The project will modernize production and office spaces, increase capacity and improve operational efficiency.
The expansion will support growing demand for MULTILIFT demountables in both the commercial and defence sectors.
Hiab will also build a new showroom as part of the project.
The company said sustainability is a key focus of the investment. The upgraded facility will use energy-efficient solutions to reduce energy consumption and support long-term climate goals.
Hiab plans to move away from district heating and increase the use of energy recovered from its own production processes. The site will also use solar power and battery storage systems.
The project builds on a €19 million investment announced in May 2025 and forms part of Hiab’s ambition to create a carbon-neutral production environment.
Hiab has signed an agreement with construction company NCC to carry out the expansion.
The company expects construction work to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2027.
