Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has started construction of a new automotive logistics hub in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza).
The project supports the company’s long-term growth strategy and strengthens its automotive logistics capabilities in the Middle East.
Hellmann said the facility will support existing automotive customers while creating additional capacity for future growth.
The company expects the Middle East automotive logistics market to grow by 4-6% annually through 2030.
The UAE remains a strategic location due to its position between Europe, Asia and Africa and its strong multimodal transport infrastructure.
INDU Logistics, part of INDU Group, is developing the built-to-suit facility.
The hub will serve as a dedicated automotive logistics center within Hellmann’s Middle East network.
The site will cover approximately 28,000 square metres.
The facility will handle the full range of automotive spare parts logistics. It will include high-density bin storage, pallet racking systems and dedicated areas for oversized and bulky components.
Hellmann designed the hub to support high-volume distribution across the GCC, Africa and selected international markets.
“The UAE is a strategically important market within our global network,” said Lee I’Ons, Regional CEO IMEA at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
“By establishing this dedicated automotive hub in Jafza, we are systematically expanding our regional capabilities and creating further scalable, industry-focused infrastructure.”
DP World welcomed the investment, highlighting growing demand for automotive logistics services in the region.
“Hellmann’s investment in Jebel Ali Free Zone reflects the rapid pace at which the automotive industry is growing in the Middle East, with customers looking for faster, more reliable access to critical spare parts across multiple markets,” said Abdulla Al Hashmi, Global Chief Operating Officer, Parks and Economic Zones at DP World.
The new facility will strengthen Hellmann’s automotive logistics network and improve spare parts distribution across key regional markets.
