Hapag-Lloyd’s operations in China gradually return to normal

Hapag-Lloyd has provided an update on the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus in the Hubei province and the impact on its operations across China.

Hapag-Lloyd’s offices in China, except Wuhan, are open with selected staff members for critical tasks. Business operations are being supported by the company’s staff working remotely with access to the Hapag-Lloyd network. Counter services have resumed work as from 11 February on the basis of appointment with the local offices of the company.

The German shipping firm says all terminals and depots are now open. However, some are still operating at limited capacity. And a shortage of truckers remains an issue, added Hapag-Lloyd.
