Hapag-Lloyd increases rates from India’s West Coast to US West Coast

German ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new general rate increase (GRI) / general rate adjustment (GRA) from India’s West Coast ports of Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Pipavav and Hazira to the United States West Coast.

Hapag-Lloyd said it will increase its rates by US$200 per container.

The Hamburg-based box line noted this change applies to cargo transported in 20’ and 40’ dry, reefer and special containers, including high cube equipment, and will be effective from 15 September until further notice.
