MSC revises port rotation of its Far East – US service

The world’s largest box carrier MSC has decided to change the port rotation of its Santana service, which connects the Far East with the United States.

The revised port rotation of the service will be as follows:

Laem Chabang (Thailand) – Vung Tau (Vietnam) – Ningbo (China) – Shanghai (China) – Busan (South Korea) – Manzanillo (Mexico) – Cristobal (Panama) – Caucedo (Dominican Republic) – New York (US) – Norfolk (US)

This adjustment will become effective from the sailing of the 2012-built container ship MSC Vega, which has container capacity of 13,100 TEUs and sails under the flag of Liberia.

“As part of our continuous efforts to satisfy market demand and offer competitive transit times, MSC is revising the port rotation of its Santana service,’ stated the Swiss/Italian company.
