Hapag-Lloyd increases rates from India to Africa

German box line Hapag-Lloyd announced a new General Rate Increase (GRI) from India to Ghana and Nigeria for cargo transported in 20’ and 40’ dry containers, including high cube equipment.

The Hamburg-based ocean carrier said the GRI will be US$100/container from Mundra, Nhava Sheva and Hazira in India to Tema in Ghana and Lagos (Apapa / Tin Can Island) in Nigeria.

The rate increase will be applicable from 1 October and will be valid until further notice.
