Hapag-Lloyd has permanently closed its counter in Indore, India, as part of its service digitalisation and operational optimisation efforts.

The carrier’s digital counter at its Ahmedabad office in Gujarat will remain fully operational.

Following the closure, Hapag-Lloyd AG is surrendering its Madhya Pradesh GST registration, 23AAACH0979G1ZR. Therefore, the company will no longer issue invoices, credit notes or debit notes from the Madhya Pradesh location.

Instead, Hapag-Lloyd will issue these documents under its Gujarat GST registration, 24AAACH0979G1ZP.

Required customer actions

Customers should review all invoices, debit notes and credit notes issued under the Madhya Pradesh GSTIN from April 2025 onwards.

If a document requires an amendment, customers should submit a dispute through Hapag-Lloyd’s Invoice Dispute form. Possible amendments include changes to the GSTIN, address, value or Harmonized System of Nomenclature code.

Customers should also check whether documents issued under the Madhya Pradesh GSTIN appear correctly in Form GSTR-2B. Any missing documents or discrepancies should be reported to Hapag-Lloyd’s India tax team with a clear explanation.

Customers must submit requests by 26 August 2026. Hapag-Lloyd said it will not process additional requests after this deadline and will not accept liability for resulting losses or compliance issues.
