Hapag-Lloyd has announced a General Rate Increase (GRI) / General Rate Adjustment (GRA) for shipments from the Indian Subcontinent, Pakistan and the Middle East to North America.
The increase will apply to cargo transported in 20’ and 40’ dry, reefer and special containers, including high cube equipment. It will be effective for all containers gated in full from June 1, 2026, and will remain in place until further notice.
Under the new adjustment, the rate increase is set at USD 1,000 per container for shipments destined to the United States and Canada across all coasts.
The move reflects ongoing pricing adjustments in key trade lanes connecting Asia and the Middle East with North America.
