From November 15, CMA CGM will apply a surcharge on dry cargo shipments from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. The measure excludes northeastern Brazil.
The surcharge will be US$700 per 20-foot container and US$900 per 40-foot container.
It covers shipments to Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea, North Africa, Middle East and Red Sea. Northern Europe includes the Baltic and Scandinavian markets.
