Hanwha Machinery and Service Holdings officially launched on August 3, 2026, establishing a new holding company dedicated to strengthening Hanwha Group’s tech and life solutions businesses through greater specialisation and portfolio synergy.
Hanwha M&S serves as the holding company for two core business portfolios. Its Technology Solutions division encompasses Hanwha Vision, Hanwha Semitech, Hanwha Momentum and Hanwha Robotics, while its Life Solutions portfolio comprises Hanwha Galleria, Hanwha Hotels and Resorts and Ourhome.
Including second-tier domestic and overseas subsidiaries, the company oversees 57 affiliated companies in total. Based on consolidated financial results at end-2025, Hanwha M&S generated approximately KRW 6 trillion in annual revenue with total assets of KRW 11.3 trillion.
Hanwha Vision and Hanwha Galleria are listed on the Korea Exchange, with Hanwha M&S itself scheduled for listing on August 25, 2026, following spin-off approval at Hanwha Corporation’s extraordinary shareholders’ meeting on July 15.
Hyung-jo Kim has been appointed inaugural Chief Executive Officer, bringing over three decades of business strategy and operational leadership experience within Hanwha Group since joining in 1994, most recently serving as CEO of Hanwha Hotels and Resorts from 2021 to 2025.
Dong Seon Kim, recently promoted to President and Head of Future Strategy, attended the launch ceremony and will focus on identifying new growth opportunities and shaping long-term business strategies at Hanwha M&S, having previously led expansion efforts in semiconductor equipment and emerging markets including the Middle East and India.
The establishment of Hanwha M&S aims to unlock the full value of the tech and life solutions businesses through enhanced specialisation and cross-portfolio synergies, with both portfolios identified as potential major growth pillars for Hanwha Group.
