GXO Logistics has joined Distretto Aerospaziale Piemonte (DAP), a leading aerospace association in Italy, strengthening its presence in the European aerospace and defense logistics sector.
The membership supports GXO’s strategy to expand its mission-critical logistics capabilities across Europe.
Marco Galtelli, Business Development Director for GXO Italy & Switzerland, said the membership recognizes the company’s expertise in highly regulated industries.
“Being welcomed into the DAP validates the strength of our capabilities in complex, highly regulated environments. It reflects the momentum we’re building in Aerospace & Defense.”
DAP is a non-profit association that brings together aerospace companies, research institutions and technology organizations in Italy’s Piedmont region. It promotes innovation, collaboration, research, professional training and access to funding across the aerospace sector.
GXO has more than 20 years of experience providing aerospace, government and defense logistics services. Its capabilities include production support, inbound material management, global spares management, kitting and sequencing, managed transportation and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support.
The company operates more than 30 aerospace and government logistics sites worldwide.
The Italian membership builds on GXO’s recent formation of a Defense Advisory Board and its participation in the UK’s Torus Defense Supply Chain alliance. It also follows new agreements with BAE Systems, Pratt & Whitney and Boeing.
