GT Lines will launch a new direct container shipping service connecting Khorfakkan in the United Arab Emirates with Berbera in Somaliland.
The Khorfakkan Berbera Express (KBX) is scheduled to begin operating in November 2026 with sailings every 14 days.
The service rotation will be:
Khorfakkan – Berbera – Khorfakkan
GT Lines has not disclosed the first sailing date or the vessels that will operate the new connection.
KBX expands Horn of Africa connectivity
The KBX service will provide direct access between the UAE and the Horn of Africa while connecting Berbera with GT Lines’ wider feeder network.
Through Khorfakkan, customers will gain access to other services and logistics infrastructure within the Gulftainer network.
The new connection expands GT Lines’ regional presence, which includes services linking Khorfakkan and Sharjah with China, India, Pakistan and markets across the Gulf.
