They include basic freight, bunker-related surcharges, Emissions Trading System (ETS) charges and Low Sulphur Surcharges (LSS).
However, terminal handling charges, safety and security fees, and other local charges may apply separately.
Additional surcharges on other routes
From November 1, CMA CGM will introduce a PSS of US$150 per container for dry cargo shipped from the west coast of South America.
The surcharge will cover shipments to the eastern coasts of Central America and Mexico, the Caribbean, the Leeward and Windward Islands, and the east coast of South America. It will also apply to cargo bound for Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
Separately, CMA CGM will apply a surcharge of €150 per TEU on shipments from Northern Europe to North Africa, starting November 7.
The charge will cover all cargo types. Spain and Portugal are excluded from the origin range, while Morocco is excluded from the destination range.
The carrier noted that additional bunker, terminal handling and other applicable charges may apply to shipments covered by the new PSS measures.
