Godby Shipping extends DFDS vessel charters

Lysbris ankomst Skogn vessel

Godby Shipping has extended its time charter agreements with DFDS for the vessels Lysvik Seaways, Lysbris Seaways and Transporter.

All three charter agreements will now remain in effect until 31 December 2027.

Godby Shipping said the extensions provide operational continuity for the vessels and their crews while continuing the company’s long-standing cooperation with DFDS.

Lysvik and Lysbris remain in paper trade

Lysvik Seaways and Lysbris Seaways joined the Godby Shipping fleet in December 2021 and January 2022, respectively, following their acquisition from DFDS.

Since joining the fleet, the vessels have transported Norske Skog paper from Skogn, Norway, to Sheerness in the United Kingdom, Amsterdam in the Netherlands and Hamburg in Germany.

Transporter charter continues

Transporter joined Godby Shipping’s fleet from Eckerö Shipping in November 2025.

The vessel has continued operating for DFDS between the Norwegian ports of Drammen, Halden and Fredrikstad and Immingham in the United Kingdom.

Godby Shipping thanked DFDS for its continued cooperation and recognised the crews aboard Lysvik Seaways, Lysbris Seaways and Transporter for their contribution to the vessels’ operations.
